We Lodged our Visa Application for Australia!

We took another big step towards moving to Australia this week by lodging our visa application.
Where are we Going?
We were fortunate enough to be nominated by South Australia for a visa, after initially wanting to move to Perth in Western Australia.
As a family, I think we’re now settled on the idea of Adelaide probably, maybe definitely 🤔, being our new home.
We’re one of those mental couples that decided we were going to move half the world away without actually visiting there first anyway.
So all of Australia will be new to us.
YouTube though continues to be a great window to the down-under world. We’d like to take this opportunity to shout out to ukmum.in.adelaide for making this video about a day in her life in Adelaide (link to her Instagram account below).
It showcases the beautiful beaches and scenery, much of what we are looking for in terms of our own move to Australia.
We hope Jules makes some more of these types of videos. I’m sure she’ll soon be featured in our resource section, alongside the likes of That Johnston Life, The Great Emigrate and Dreaming Of Down Under.

Next Steps
With our visa application lodged, next for us is to book our Australia immigration medicals. We had a choice of places including –
- London
- Manchester
- Plymouth
- Edinburgh
- Glasgow
- Maidenhead
We are going to go to London for our and make a little family trip of it.
